First impressions matter and I`m afraid that this wine does not do so well with an aroma of stale tobacco which does not really appeal to me.
It does better in the mouth with a smooth texture and dark berry flavours. It has perhaps a little too much acid and a little too little tannin but it`s not that far away from a good balance. While I will admit to liking it, it will not be a repeat purchaase becaus I can get better wine for less money. Wine rating 5/10. Value rating: below average
