2002 Montana Cabernet Merlot

Again, I find myself delighted by a bottle of wine from my homeland. Let's throw some adjectives at this review: dark, rich, smokey, smooth, creamy, woody, full bodied. The best that I have tried since the 2000 from the same source.
This has not picked up quite the same amount of flavour from the American oak casks as did the 2000 but, while that makes the 2000 better for me, the difference is not enough to make me mark this wine down. As far as I am concerned, there is no better way to spend ten Euro on wine than to choose this one. You get to keep enough change to buy a half decent Chianti as well! Rating 7/10 Value 0 |
