When I opened this wine and poured out a glass, my reaction was "Oh scrummy" such was the tempting rich purple colour. That was matched by a solid but attractive bouquet. So, to drinking it. It was as good as I had hoped from the appearance. A strong but very smooth body and a real "roll it around the mouth and savour it" taste.
It went down a treat with a vegetarian pasta dish of my own invention and I cannot remember the another bottle of Motepulciano d'Abruzzo that was better than this one even though some of them cost rather more.
