On opening this wine, I was struck by the strong and attractive aroma. To taste, the wine was also good but not quite as good as the aroma had promised. Acidity and body OK but there was no real substance and I could not really see that it was any better than the more basic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that Tengelmann sells for half the price.
