Castelletto Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 2000
We have not had a better bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo this year regardless of the price so this is a real bargain. You will never get a great wine with this sort of label but this is as good as they get.

It has a very smooth texture and a real "roll it around the mouth" appeal with just the right amount of acid and nothing bad in the aftertaste.

That makes this my top choice for a bargain wine.
