When the stocks of 1999 wine bottled by Fra Co were exhausted, Marktkauf wheeled out this as a substitute in the same bins and for the same price. The other wine is still available from other suppliers and it is better. This is a second choice.
I like the colour, the fruity taste and the smooth texture but the wine is just too acid for me to be happy with it. So, I can only say that it is a wine to avoid. According to the label, this wine is a mix of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. I always thought that the name meant Montepulciano only but there you go. Wine rating 4/10. Value -1 |
