I am a firm believer that good Chianti reveals itself through its colour and this wine did that. With lots of delightful flashes of purple as I poured it out and a dark berry aroma, it promised to taste well and it did. Dark berries and a hint of spice complimented the delicate texture and there was just enough acid to bring the fruit flavours to the fore.
