2001 Chianti D.O.C.G. Colli Senesi

The 2001 offering from this bottler appeared in April 2002 and it was one of the first to be made available. Perhaps that was because the 2000 was not quite as good as the 1999.
Whatever the reason, this wine is every bit as good as the 1999 with all of the fruity appeal of that wine. The colour and aroma are both very appealing, especially the former with a bright purple shade. The taste is spot on too though perhaps nit quite a spicy as some. It's the best way that I know to spend two and a half Euro on Italian wine in Germany. Wine rating 6/10. Value rating +1 |
