2000 Chianti D.O.C.G. Torre Borgesi
Seen as a generic dry red wine, this was acceptable but, as a Chianti and not the cheapest available, it did not distinguish itself. On pouring it out the colour was a little disappointing being a dull red with a little brown rather than the bright, near purple, shade that heralds the best Chinati.

Also, there was none of the spicy tang that I always hope for in this style of wine. Instead, I found a decent well balanced wine with no bad points but nothing to make me rush out and buy another bottle.

Wine rating 5/10. Value rating -1
