I like this wine. I like it as much as the best Chianti that two and a half Euros can buy. Trouble is, this costs almost twice as much and it does not earn its keep. It has an aroma of spicyness but most of that seems to have disappeared by the time that the wine reaches your mouth.

It is well made and there are no technical faults with the wine but for the money, I do expect more than just everyday dry red. Marktkauf offers two different Chiantis for two and a bit Euro and both are as good as this.
