Whereas the 1998 wine from this bottler was the worst but one Chianti that I have ever tasted, this was the best straightforward (non Classico) Chianti of the year. Everything about it was just right. The attractive red colour with hints of purple, the distinctively spicy Chianti tang, lots of fruit and something really to roll around the mouth and enjoy.

In a word, worth the money.
