This is OK in a sort of "fancy something different for a change" manner. If you are in Trink Gut, they sell a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for the same money from the same bottler which is a better wine. If you have the chance, go to the Plus and buy their DeM3.99 Chianti which is the best Italian wine that you can get for that money in Germany.
But, if you have done that, give this wine a try for a different view on the theme of dry red wine from Italy on a budget. The wine is OK though the body and taste are a little lacking. There is just a trace of the burnt charcoal taste that you seem to get from the Barbera grape variety. All in all, it's a fair wine for the money. Wine rating 5/10. Value rating 0 |
