Right, if you want an utterly typical Beaujolais Nouveau that includes all that is good - and bad - about this wine then this is the one for you.
There is real in-your-face red currant and raspberry fruitiness from the Gamay grapes highlighted by the right amount of too-much-acid and to cap it all, it had not fermented out when bottled so there is a slight fizz like sherbert. I enjoy all of those characteristics of this wine - as long as it is once a year only! Wine rating 5/10. Value: good |
