I liked this a lot, it was a very good wine for the money indeed. Very smooth, rich and full bodied. Better than the 1999 and better than the Beaujolais from the same bottler which the Plus sells for 40% more money.
According to the label, this wine is a blend of a large number of grape types but in character, it is quite close to a Cabernet Sauvignon as produced in the Valle Centrale in Chile. It is a little smoother than that wine though. It has the advantage that it is OK to drink within just a few minutes of opening so it is a good wine to keep around for emergencies. Wine rating 6/10.
