Cousino Macul Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Valle del Maipo, Chile a jpoc taste of wine

Oh dear, over priced for the quality. What is worse is that at the same time I paid little more than half this price for an Argentine Cab Sav that was a better winel. Somebody in Chile should pull their socks up.

This wine is too acid and it also has a slightly musty taste. Both of these defects almost mask out the dark berry flavours.

Right, time to say something nice - I liked the colour and the full bodied yet smooth texture but that's about it. I will give it a go again when the 2007 is out but not before.

Wine rating 5/10. Value: 'scrutiatingly poor - Plus have a wine that is just as good for a quarter of the price.
