If you have tried and enjoyed some of the budget priced wines from Chile's Valle Centrale region, you may like to give this a whirl. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are the starting point for most of the wine from Chile in this price bracket and, in general, 2000 did not seem to produce as good a crop as the 1999. This wine is about average for the year which means that it is certainly drinkable but not at all special.

The colour is dark though with a slightly unattractive brown hue but the texture and taste are OK. It is not so heavy as some Cabernet Sauvignons from Chile but still not really a wine to offer friends who are not regular red wine drinkers. There is a slightly acid aftertase but that's about the only fault that I can find.
