Wine, especially good wine is all about emotion, right? Well, the emotion left by this wine is one of disappointment.
Come one, it's a St Emilion, it's ten freaking Euros too, that makes it one of the most expensive wines that we consider for everyday drinking here at jpoc towers but it tastes like some half arsed Bulgarian Merlot. If you sniff the glass or look at the wine as you pour it out, all seems well but that is as far as it goes. It is hard to say what is wrong here - which means that it will thus be hard to put right. The balance of acid and tannins seems to be but perhaps there is a little too much of each. Perhaps it needs time to age? It so, why is it being sold as a wine to drink today in the supermarket? Avoid it like you would try to avoid a drunk who wants to tell you his life story. They should be ashamed. Wine rating 5/10. Value rating very poor.
