Chateau Du Gestat 2000

The Plus supermarket sells red Bordeaux bottled by Union Vincole Bordeaux under a number of different Chateau names. From time to time I find myself wondering if there are really any differences between the different names and then I sample two bottles back to back and it is then clear that the wines do vary albeit just a little.
I tasted this wine after sampling the Chateau Pellegrine from the same bottler and this wine is noticably less attractive. It has a slightly rough aftertaste which means that it lacks that "roll it round your mouth" appeal that I like. Other than that, the wine is OK it's just that it lacks the finish that would give it real appeal. Wine rating 5/10.
