Chateau Haut Gaillardet 1996

This was a very smooth wine. A good solid taste, body and texture. Not perfect but certainly an enjoyable quaff. It was very much one to roll around the mouth and savour. It was five years old when we tried it and perhaps it could have been kept for a year or two more but it was certainly ready to drink.
