This set of eight books makes a great resource for helping your child to learn to read.
They are published by the Cambridge University Press in their "Cambridge Reading" series under the heading "Beginning to Read."
Each book is short and simple which gives a beginning reader a real sense of achievement when they master one book. The books are organised into four pairs. Each pair of books shares a common theme but told in a slightly different way with variations between for example, the first person singular and the first person plural, introducing new words and so on.
All of this helps to encourage the child in their own ability to read these books.
Who should consider books such as these? I'd encourage any parent to try these books with a child who is beginning to read. They are fun and they do help.
Seven out of ten, a great way to help your child begin to read.
